Rhinoceros for free-form surfacing. Alias for OEM-grade class-A. SolidWorks, Siemens NX, and Creo when the engineering pipeline demands it. Our CAD toolchain is built to match your team’s.
This is where the studio spends most of its time. The 2D concept becomes a precision 3D surface model — every curve continuous, every panel buildable, every measurement exact. Surface quality determines everything downstream: rendering, prototyping, manufacturing.
The studio works in Rhinoceros for modelling, with Light Tracer and Unreal Engine for rendering and visualisation. This is the toolchain we offer and the one we use every day.
Throughout this stage, you receive review packages at every gate. No surprises at handover.
Modelling is where the design becomes geometry. We work in one environment and we work in it deeply.
Across past projects we've worked alongside engineering teams running other CAD environments. The studio doesn't currently hold active licenses for the tools below — but we have hands-on working knowledge from past roles, which means we can read the files, hand off cleanly, and have informed conversations with engineers using them. For ongoing projects requiring these tools, the client typically provides the seat.
The two examples below are from past projects in Alias Surface Studio and SolidWorks. We also have working knowledge of Siemens NX and PTC Creo, where most of the value is in clean translation in and out of the active Rhino model. For OEM-grade automotive visualisation we have used Autodesk VRED, and for engineering data exchange in larger pipelines, Siemens Teamcenter (PLM).
The 3D model is only useful if your engineering, prototyping, and manufacturing partners can work with it. Every project closes with a delivery package tailored to the downstream pipeline.
Solid formats — STEP, IGES, Parasolid, native Rhino — for engineering teams.
Mesh formats — OBJ, STL, FBX — for prototyping bureaus, real-time engines, and game-engine pipelines.
Visualisation packages — fully built scenes in Light Tracer or Unreal Engine, with material libraries that survive handoff to your in-house render team.
Send a brief and we'll come back within two working days with a scoped proposal.
