Step 02 · Concept & Sketch

Ten ideas on paper. Two worth building.

Hand sketches let us explore proportion and attitude at speed. From the broad initial pool, we converge with you on the directions that deserve to become real.

Stage 02 · Generation & convergence

Hand sketches first. Always.

Before any CAD work begins, ideas live on paper. Hand sketches let us explore proportion, attitude, and visual character at speed — generating ten directions in a morning rather than spending a week refining one weak idea in 3D.

From the broad initial pool, we converge on two or three directions worth building. We present them to you with the reasoning behind each — strengths, tradeoffs, and where each direction leads if pushed further.

Your input here matters most. The decision we make at the end of this stage shapes everything downstream.

SKETCH · EXTERIOR
Exterior automotive sketches
Exterior — proportion & stance Quick exterior studies exploring volume, surface tension, and silhouette before any CAD work begins.
SKETCH · INTERIOR
Interior sketch
Interior — architecture & ergonomics Cabin layouts, dashboard architecture, and seating studies — the spatial logic that drives interior CAD.
What we deliver in this phase

Direction, not decoration.

02.A
Ideation sketches
10–20 hand sketches exploring different formal directions, presented as a working document.
Week 1
02.B
Direction review
Live session where we walk through every sketch and narrow to 2–3 directions to develop further.
Week 2
02.C
Refined concepts
Selected directions developed into clean orthographic sketches with key dimensions, perspective views, and CMF notes.
Week 3
02.D
Concept lock
Final concept selected and signed off. This is the design we build in 3D.
