About the project

Lift where roads end.

An unmanned cargo helicopter concept produced as part of IDMR’s aerospace visualisation work for ICAO. The RPAS is built around a single job: carry a sling load into places a truck can’t reach — mountain passes, disaster zones, forward sites — with no pilot on board.

The airframe reads as one clean volume — a deep composite shell over the payload bay, a slender tapered boom to the tail rotor, and sculpted skids with an integrated cargo hook. The surfacing was worked until the highlights run unbroken, then the machine was dropped into real operations — sling-load over alpine terrain, ground handling at dusk — and shot as a short film.

IDMR delivered the exterior concept, the cinematic imagery and the film in-house.
