A product-graphics project from FADU (Universidad de Buenos Aires) — the full control-panel and brand-graphics system for a Samsung Chef Collection countertop oven: pictograms, backlit dial scales, materials, and an off-to-on identity.
Developed for Gráfica para Productos at FADU, Universidad de Buenos Aires, this project defines the complete product-graphics system for a Samsung Chef Collection electric convection oven — the control panel, its typography, pictograms, materials and lighting behaviour.
The interface is stripped to two dials and four cooking modes. A reduced set of four pictograms covers the cooking types — top grill, bottom grill, double grill and double grill with fan — set apart from the dials because they carry no scale. The power mark borrows the same graphic language.
Type is Helvetica Neue LT on the panel and Calibri on the boards; the palette rests on three references — RAL 7038 agate grey (#B5B8B1), RAL 9005 deep black (#0A0A0A) and Pantone 3105 C turquoise (#68D2DF). Materials run from brushed and polished stainless to screen-printed and textured glass, tinted acrylic and blue LEDs.
The temperature dial reads on a luminous scale that climbs through green, yellow, orange and red; the time dial — the control touched on every cook — runs on backlit tinted acrylic. The power button is a machined metal disc with a recessed, blue-LED pictogram. The whole panel has two states: dark and quiet when off, awake in turquoise when on.
